In Loving Memory of Solange Falaise-Montervil
Solange Falaise was born on February 24, 1957 in Duclos, Haiti to Dieumercy and Felicite Falaise. Solange has been known for her kind heart, her giving spirit, her unwavering faith, and dedication to family and community.
Though raised Catholic, upon migrating to the USA, Solange accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and became a devoted member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Throughout the course of her life, Solange faithfully served the Lord in multiple ministries including head of the deaconess department, dorcas, choir, and Sabbath School. Solange lived her life with the goal of living for Christ; leaving a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.
Solange was united in marriage to Gabriel Montervil on September 17, 1978, and together they built a loving home founded on faith, love, compassion, and mutual respect. She was a devoted wife, parent, daughter, grandparent, sibling, and friend who cherished every opportunity to bless anyone she encountered.
Professionally, Solange worked in the health care field as a certified nursing assistant and then later as a preschool teacher for over two decades. After migrating to Florida, in her later years, she obtained a diploma as a Medical Assistant. Solange was respected for her integrity, cleanliness, compassionate care, dedication, and willingness to help others. Outside of work, she enjoyed taking care of her family, cooking for her family, shopping, and helping others in any way possible. One of her most bizarre hobbies was doing the laundry. The family enjoyed bothering her about it, however they all benefited from fresh, clean, neatly folded clothing.
One thing that everyone can unanimously agree on is that Solange was about her Father’s business. She was a devout Christian who helped to point many people to Christ by her actions, her deeds and her words of encouragement. In addition, Solange was a woman of prayer. She was on multiple prayer chats at various times of the day. Most importantly, she found great joy in encouraging others and sharing God's love.
On July 29, 2026, at 4:35 AM, Solange Montervil peacefully fell asleep in Jesus at the age of 69, surrounded by the love of family in Margate, Florida. While our hearts are saddened by this temporary separation, we rejoice in the blessed hope found in Jesus Christ and eagerly anticipate the resurrection morning when we will be reunited with my grandmother, Solange Montervil. I can’t wait to see that beautiful smile again.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her beloved husband of 48 years, Gabriel Montervil, who is currently battling some health issues, her children, Rhyndy, Wydnyr, Gab-Andy, Jephte, and adoptive daughter, Murielle; daughter in laws Vanessa and Carlynn, son in laws, Dordy, Kinta and Francisco; grandchildren: Lyrique, Justice, Yanna, Genessa, Kaelen, and Gideon; siblings: Rosette, Jean Rony, Michaelle, Sabine, Marjorie, and Sophie; Marie Leonne, Nola, and Gary, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, dear friends, and all whose lives were touched by her kindness and faith.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered prayers, love, encouragement, and acts of kindness during this time. Your support has been a tremendous source of comfort.
"For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus." — 1 Thessalonians 4:14 (NKJV)
"Until that glorious resurrection morning, we rest in the promise of Christ's soon return."
