Rose Carmita Zephyr was a beautiful individual inside and outside to those who met or knew her. On January 1st the day of Haiti's independence in 1954. She was born a Christian in rural Thozin, Haiti a few kilometers outside of the town of Grand Goave to two loving parents Sostenne and Charitable. She was raised in Petit Goave with her father, his wife and her numerous siblings. She received her education and began to form her loving personality in the house and neighborhood which she lived in. She always went to go visit her mother and sibling Lelene, Mama and Boyi during vacations. You see friends and family this is who she was a person always devoted to family and those she loved. As a young teenage girl she worked as a hair dresser in Port Au Prince to help ends meet and live the life she dreamed about. She was a caterer, event organizer and more of a mother than a sister or friend to the people she loved dearly. She was determined as she travelled to Venezuela and various other places to buy merchandise in order to feed her family. She put her faith and believed in God and was rewarded by being given a visa to arrive in the United States in spring 1984. Nineteen years later her mother entered the US to stay with her. She found work, a home and eventually became a mother to her only child Ernst Richard Constant. She instilled love, nurture and a priority on education in him. Rose loved to cook, sing and dance but she loved her son more than all. She continued to work hard and take care of all her loved ones in anyway possible until her very end. On October 5th 2020 she was called to be with God. Let us all take the time to memorialize her through song and prayer but especially in following love as she would have it.
