Marie C, Cadet

Marie Claude Cadet affectionately known to family and friends as "Marie or Claude" was born on March 23,1972 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti to the late Francois Cadet and the late Marie Rose Francois. Marie was the oldest of 5 Children. 

Marie came to Elizabeth, NJ in 1993 to reside with her father and stepmom. The next year she would run into her partner Duckens Nelson, and they would start the journey of their lives together. In the following year in 1995, Marie had her first-born son Mylove Nelson. Their family proceeded to grow as Marie gave birth to 3 more beautiful children Sarah, Deborah and the youngest Nathanael.

Marie over the course of years has had a host of careers from working her way up to manager at restaurants, becoming a CNA and head Housemen at the Marriot until she was laid off during the shortage of Covid-19.

Marie was baptized in her youth and her faith in God was strong throughout her life. She had a great love for her family that no one could replace. She loved going to the park with her kids, doing surprise visits to her loved ones and working. She was no stranger to hard work.

She grew ill in the late year of 2021, and although she put up a fierce fight, she was called home to be with the Lord on May 6,2022. Marie was loved and truly adored will FOREVER be missed. She will forever be remembered by her husband Duckens Nelson, her brother Gamael Cadet, her stepsister Emmanuela Joseph Jones and husband, Edelle Jean, and little sister Cyndi Cadet. Her children who loved and adored her Sarah Nelson, Mylove Nelson, Deborah Nelson, Nathanael Nelson. Her uncle Moise and wife. She will be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews Jaylen Cadet, Layla Jean-Philippe, Leora Jean-Philippe, Bryson Jones, Mildred Jean, Hudson Vertus, Fritzgerald Vertus, Ethan Vertus and Miracula Jean. Her beloved cousins, Eric Cadet, Wilvens Cadet, WesthlyneFonrose, Judith Cadet, Max Cadet, Joshua Cadet, Wherly Cadet and family, Keran Cadet, Joanne Cadet, Mirlande Chery-Delva and Family, NirvaChery-Eugene and Family, Claudel Chery, Claude Chery, Edner L’amour, Jacques Cadet and Family as well as countless other loved ones.
