We are here to celebrate life of Leonie Labissiere. She was born in Lazile, Haiti on January 5th, 1936. She was daughter of Leopaul Labissiere and Resilia Erase. She was given the nickname “Titine “by family and friends. She went to Anse-a-Veau to complete elementary school. She married Leclerc Laborde on May 16th, 1970, and gave birth to three girls who have now become mothers. Their names are Eveline, Rosemite, and Ilene. She was a farmer and made dresses for her kids. She worked hard to raise her kids. She cooked, cleaned and did laundry for her family. She took her kids to Anse -a-veau to attend elementary school and every two weeks she brought food for them through rain or shine. She was a good mother and strong woman who liked to work. She devoted her time to her kids. Before she passed, she saw all of her grandchildren. She immigrated to America on December 14th, 2015. Here she stayed with her eldest daughter, Marie Eveline in New Jersey. While in America, she was able to see her daughters and grandchildren who resided here. In her final months, she traveled to Florida, where she spent time with her only living sibling Laurette Labissiere. In the same visit, she spent time with her second daughter Rosemite Cassamjor and her family. In the late stages of her life she fell ill. God called her home on May 8th, 2023.
