A BIOGRAPHICAL TIMELINE

To all who knew him, you will all remember that his mission and passion in this life was to serve God and his community.

Kenot Pierre,our dad was born on Thursday July 13th, 1950 at L’Hopital Universitaire Justinien in Cap-Haïtien, Haïti, to the late  Salvant Pierre & Rose F. Louis. He was the first born of ten children this young couple was blessed with.

Between 1950-1966  He grew up in a christian household with loving and caring parents who were members of The First Baptist Church of Cap-Haïtien. He attended primary school at Marius Levi Ecole Elementaire in Cap Haïtien, Haïti. After serious considerations, his parents decided that there would be better opportunities for him in Port-au-Prince.

At the age of sixteen in 1966,  dad and grandpa traveled by bus to Port-au-Prince where he began his secondary education at boarding school . He later attended L'Ecole Technique et Professionnelle J.B.  Damien, where he learned the art of carpentry while under the loving care of his aunt and uncle. 

In 1969 at the age of 19, after completing his schooling, he began to work as a travel agent helping clients attain visas and passports to travel abroad for a well known travel agency in Port-au-Prince. He was a faithful member of “Eglise Baptiste Des Cites” (Baptist Church of the Cities)  which is where he received his first calling to Christ's work. He was very much involved in the youth ministry, and bible study at the church at a very young age. He was passionate about sports. He founded a soccer league in the community where he lived which brought the youth of the community together during several championships.

 In 1974 at the age of 24, Kenot  moved to the United States to join his parents in search of a better life. Upon arriving to Brooklyn, New York, he began to work for Goldstein Manufacturing.

Until 1978, Kenot was a member of Haïtian Baptist Church of Brooklyn. On November 13, 1976 while attending a concert at Utica Church of God in Brooklyn, NY  with his best friend Edouard Fontain, dad had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Chrislaine Doyen. After an adventurous four year courtship, dad could not envision any other young lady to share his life with but "Lelene". So on July 12th, 1980, the couple stood before God, family and friends and promised to be there for one another in a beautiful wedding ceremony.

During the 1980’s and early 1990's several milestones were achieved in Kenot’s life. Kenot’s first child, Salem Salvant Doyen Pierre was born; he attended Manhattan Bible Institute where he  attained his certificate in Bible and Christian Theology; he began his journey as an entrepreneur in the transportation industry. In the early 1990's, he established the first Socio-Evangelical television program to serve the Haïtian community in the tri-state area “Tele -Verite”.The production of this television program was one of Kenot’s biggest accomplishments to date.Tuesday nights were dedicated to the exposure and promotion of the christian artists in the community. Saturday morning was devoted to bible study and prayer. No other such program was known in the community in those days. A real Blessing! He published an evangelical magazine which nourished the soul of many over many years.

In the mid 90’s Kenot and his family relocated to New Jersey where for 20+ years he continued his entrepreneurial endeavors in the field of transportation services while continuing to serve Christ. Above Limo was one such endeavor.  Kenot's family expanded on March 11, 1997, 16 years later with the arrival of our handsome Christopher Kenneth Doyen Pierre. We would be remiss if we did not share with you that dad loved us so much. In spite of all the challenges from us, he made sure that he kept on showing, my brother and myself, his love and patience. He was a visionary. His mind was constantly working to come up with new ideas to make life better for others, and perhaps himself. "Others First", that was his motto. He has never failed to offer his service to others . He was kindhearted. He was a true "servant". His limousine transportation business was not always successful; but dad did not see success with the same mindset as the rest of us. He kept his focus on the end of the journey, not the day to day grinds. He knew that at the end of his journey victory was awaiting.

The COVID-19 pandemics have reinvigorated dad's deep desire to serve the Lord Jesus Christ wholeheartedly. On Thursday night August 13th,2020 , he introduced a teleconference Bible Study program to the community which would serve as the Corner Stone of his new vision "The Redemption Center". Dad believed that Jesus came to serve and to save those who were lost. The book of John was the gospel dad was working on for the bible study the night before he was taken home . He believed that Jesus was Lord, Master, the LOGOS, Son of God, Son of man. He felt for us and was compassionate to the soul and the body of man. There was wholeness in the way Jesus served . Consequently, dad deeply believed that we as Christ's disciples must also serve in the same manner.

On Thursday September 10th, 2020 early in the morning, dad, the fallen soldier, was lifted up into the bosom of Abraham to be in the fullness of his Lord's glory. We give praise and glory to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for his grace and mercy shown to our dad throughout his journey down here and in eternity.
