Francois (Apolon) Polius

Chers Parents et amis éplorés, nous sommes tous réunis  aujourd'hui pour célébrer la vie de notre bien aimé Francois (Appolon) Polius qui a été un père aimant pour certains, un grand-père attentionné, un frère affectueux et serviable et un ami  sincère pour d'autres.   Ceux qui l'ont suffisamment approché peuvent témoigner de la grandeur d'âme et la bonté de «Tipapa » comme plus d’un se  plaisait à l'appeler affectueusement.

                Mr Francois (Appolon) Polius a vu le jour le premier Avril, 1936 à Port Margot dans le département du Nord d’Haïti, de l’union légitime des défunts Mr et Mme Paulius Polidor.  Son enfance à Bas Quartiers , première section communale de Port Margot a été une enfance heureuse, entouré de ses trois sœurs et 4 frères :  Delivrance Vavilus née Polidor (décédée), Christianne Darius née Polidor (Décédée),  Paulaine Calixte née Polidor, Vincent Polidor (décédé) ,  Pierre Polidor, Jacques Polidor et Victor Nicanor. Il fit ses études classiques à Port Margot et au Cap-Haitien, puis au début des années 70 il se rendit à Port-au-Prince où de nouveaux horizons s'ouvrirent à lui. Pendant plus de 20 ans il démontra sa loyauté à la compagnie Brandt SA, avant de se rendre aux États-Unis d’Amérique pour terminer son parcours terrestre.  Quelqu'un eut à dire que  « la tombe n'est pas plus redoutable que le berceau car elle ouvre, elle aussi sur un monde ».  Alors, Pour notre cher Apolon, Qui a eu le temps d'accepter Christ et d'être baptisé dans la foi chrétienne, il ne fait pas de doute qu'une nouvelle vie commence dans les bras de Christ, loin des douleurs et des tourments.

                Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Louise Paulius, ses enfants qui l’aiment tous:  Anise Dessejour, Marcelin Paulius, Francoise Joseph, Ruth Desrosiers, Caleine Rose Michel Metilus, Jean Milton Polidor (décédé), Arline Polidor, Vanel Polidor (décédé), Jean Rony Polidor, Delcarme Polius, Nadine Printemps, Stephy Samedi Denize.

Ses beau fils et belles filles: Roland Dessejour (décédé), Elcide Paulius, Lloyd Joseph, Fritz Desrosiers, Milove Montout, Dickenson Printemps, Emmanuel Denizé. Vinsky Louissaint.

Ses petits enfants: Rudany Dessejour Louissaint, Dr. Judith Paulius, Melissa Dessejour, Carl Dessejour, Regina Dessejour, Michael Joseph, Elodie Desrosiers, Stefan Desrosier, Laura Joseph, Matthania Dessejour, Ruthny Desrosiers, Amedei Derby Michel, Lyns Derbenie Michel, Sarah Aisha Polidor, Herby Desrosiers, Cody Ryan Polidor, Christopher Anglade, Allison Polidor, Chris Polidor, Andrew Polidor, Victoria  Polidor, Aidan Montout, Steph-Oreily Denize, Eunice Christie Glory Printemps, Noah Montout. C'est inondé de tristesse et de pleurs que nous offrons ce dernier hommage à notre bien aimé et nous sommes persuadés qu'un au revoir n'est pas un adieu. Nous avons l'assurance de nous revoir au grand matin de l'éternité. Nous garderons en mémoire ton sourire, ta bonne humeur, et ta gentillesse pour toujours au fond de notre cœur.

  Dear Grieving Parents and Friends, we are all gathered today to celebrate the life of my beloved grandfather, Francois Polius who was to some, a father, to others a grandfather, a helpful brother and a sincere friend. Those who have come close enough to him can testify to the generosity  and kindness of "Tipapa", as more than one liked to call him affectionately.

Mr. Francois (Appolon) Polius  was born on April 1, 1936 in Port Margot in the Northern Department of Haiti, from the union of the deceased Mr. and Mrs. Paulius Polidor. His childhood in Bas Quartiers, first municipal section of Port Margot, was a happy childhood, surrounded by his brothers and sisters: Delivrance Vavilus née Polidor (deceased), Christianne Darius née Polidor (Deceased), Paulaine Calixte née Polidor, Vincent Polidor (deceased), Pierre Polidor, Jacques Polidor and Victor Micanor. He did his classical studies in Port Margot and Cap-Haitien, then in the early 1970s he went to Port-au-Prince where new horizons opened up to him. For more than 20 years he demonstrated his loyalty to the company Brandt SA, before going to the United States of America to finish his life’s journey. Someone had to say that "the tomb is no more fearsome than the cradle because it also opens onto a world". So, for our dear Apolon, who had time to accept Christ and to be baptized in the Christian faith, there is no doubt that a new life begins in the arms of Christ, away from pains and torments of this world.

He is survived by his wife Louise Paulius and his children who all love him: Anise Dessejour, Marcelin Paulius, Francoise Joseph, Ruth Desrosiers, Caleine Rose Michel Metilus, Jean Milton Polidor (deceased), Arline Polidor, Vanel Polidor (deceased) , Jean Rony Polidor, Delcarme Polius, Nadine Printemps, Stephy Samedi Denize.

His sons-in-law and daughters-in-law: Roland Dessejour (deceased), Elcide Paulius, Lloyd Joseph, Fritz Desrosiers, Milove Montout, Dickenson Printemps, Emmanuel Denizé,  (Vinsky Louissaint).

It is with great sadness and tears that we offer you this last tribute, and we are convinced that a so long is not a goodbye. We have the assurance of seeing each other again in the great morning of eternity. We will remember your smile, your good humor, and your kindness forever in the depths of our hearts.
