Edy Union Silverne Obituary

Edy Silverne was born on March 1, 1959, in a family of 8 children, of which he was the 5th among his brothers and sisters of Haitian parents Thérèse Bourdeau and Gerard Silverne in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, in the city of Pétion-Ville.  From his childhood, Edy was a devoted man. His charm was contagious, and he was always ready to help everyone that crossed his path without expecting anything in return. He started working at 16 years old to support himself and became a man of character with incredible generosity and wisdom. At the age of 18, Edy married for the first time Lady Losita Moreau, with whom he had two children, Mylarah and Carl Silverne, and five years later, he remarried Lady Yanick St-Hubert with whom he has had four daughters, Elody, Belinda, Soraya, and Thalia Silverne.  In 2005, Edy left Haiti for a better world in the United States to care for his family and create opportunities for his children that he was genuinely proud of. Edy's life was not always easy, but he was a man of infinite courage, a man of vision, and a businessman.  Unfortunately, his life was cut short, but he lived a beautiful life full of joy, happiness, and adventures. He loved to laugh, dance and crack jokes, and his love for his family was undeniable.  On May 14, 2023, Edy Silverne passed away at the age of 64. He leaves behind his wife, Yanick Silverne; his son Carl Olivier Silverne; his daughters, Mylarah Silverne-Orr, Kimberley Elody Silverne, Belinda Christie Silverne, Soraya Benedicte Silverne, Thalia Aurelie Silverne; his brothers and sisters, Venice Bourdeau, Jocelyn Lazare, Reynold Silverne, Mariella Silverne, Marie Gérald Silverne, and his grandson Raheem Orr Jr. We are all moved by the sudden departure of Edy; He was a caring family man, a good husband, and a loving father.  May your soul rest in peace, Papi, and your wings carry you toward the sky to dance with the stars.
