Eder-Lydtz Exil Obituary

Eder Lydtz Exil 62, passed away on Monday August 16th 2021.
Eder was born on December 7th 1958 to Iilda Fernande Exil and Charlemagne Exil in Cap
Haitien, Haiti. He grew up in Port au Prince where he completed his elementary in College
Vertiere/Republic du Paraguay/College Frere Adrian du Sacre Coeur. Eder, affectionately known by
his family and closest friends as Lou Lou, was raised alongside his 5 siblings; Ivane (Bebe) Exil,
Iza (Kekette) Neptune, Carline Exil, Eddie Exil, and Maggie Campbell. He was born and raised into
the 7th Day Adventist faith where he nurtured a passionate love for God and the church. His love
and devotion to God would influence his work with the churches through a span of many
generations in any way he could including as a Youth Leader, a Pathfinder Directory, and so much
more.
In 1983 Loulou left his home country of Haiti and relocated to Brooklyn, NY. Working as a
carpenter in Brooklyn, he met his soon to be wife Nicole Exil at Bethanie French SDA church. The
pair wed quickly on November 22nd 1986 surrounded by friends and family alike. They then
relocated to New Jersey where they grew their family, welcoming the additions of their children
Jonathan and Kimberly Exil in 1990 and 1992. While in New Jersey he also continued his
education attending Union County College, thereafter, he worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant
for New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home. As a proud Master Guide, during his free time he loved to
volunteer and helped build and shape various pathfinder programs for the youth of different SDA
churches of New Jersey. He then took his love and ministry with him when he relocated to
Brockton Massachusetts where he worked as a Certified CMA running his very own home care
agency and continued to help shape the church's youth.
As Loulou retired, it was his dream to build his dream house in Haiti and have his children visit him
in his beachside home. Loulou loved music and as such sang in a choir and played the trombone. He
was an avid sports fan having played soccer in his younger years, skillfully so he always added. He
was a raging fan of the Brazilian soccer team, the Buffalo Bills, and the Detroit Pistons and never
hesitated to let anyone know. He was a fan of listening to good music, spending time surrounded by
family and loved ones, and will always be remembered for his fun spirit, his joyful heart, his love of
God, and his comedic personality.
The Lord says in Isaiah 66:12,13: For this is what the Lord says:
“I will extend peace to her like a river,
and the wealth of nations like a flooding stream;
you will nurse and be carried on her arm
and dandled on her knees.
13 As a mother comforts her child,
so will I comfort you;
and you will be comforted over Jerusalem.”
In John 14:18 he says:
18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
His voice will echo in memories you hold,
His smile will warm you through stories retold.
His love will touch you in spirit each day,
His life will be treasured in beautiful ways.
Loulou is predeceased by his father Charlemagne Exil, his mother Iilda Fernande Exil, and
his oldest and youngest sisters Ivane (Bebe) Exil and Maggie Campbell. He leaves behind his
children Jonathan and Kimberly Exil. His siblings Iza (Kekette) Neptune, Carline Exil, and
Eddie Exil along with all of their children. His many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and
uncles, all of whom love him eternally and will miss him dearly.
