Fred St Amant Jr. Would Like To Extend His Deepest Condolences To The Many Family And Friends Of Albert Watson.

Albert Watson affectionally known as “Pond” enter this life on June 17, 1928 born to Albert Watson & Jessie Mae Thomas in Winder Georgia. Shortly after Albert’s birth his family moved to Bessemer City North Carolina; where Albert was raised by his Grandparents Wiles & Lena Thomas along with his siblings & cousins. Albert attended Lincoln Academy in Gaston County North Carolina where he met his high school sweetheart and love of his life Gladys Hill. Shortly after high school Albert eagerly went to New York City to persuade his life ambition. Albert Served his country in the United States Army during Korea War from 1951- 1953. After completed his enlistment married his loving Wife Gladys Hill in July 1953; the loving couple were married for 59 blessed years until Gladys passing in August 2012. During marriage they were blessed with two Children Albert Jerome Watson and Glynnis Darcel Watson. In 1955 Albert & Gladys purchased their home in Jamaica NY. In 1968 Albert purchased and started his beloved Van Wyck Dry Cleaning business and which owned and operated until 2011. Albert also owned & operated Gladys & Amy INC from 1980 until his retirement in 2011. Albert spent his retirement & golden years in Parlin, New Jersey with Son and daughter-in-law and family. Albert departed this life & went on to glory March 27, 2019 at 12:01 A.M. in Robert Wood Johnson New Brunswick , NJ 3 months short of 91st birthday. Albert lived a blessed, passionate, wonderful life. Albert truly helped and touch many souls throughout his life. He’s home now along with the love of his life Gladys in heaven. Albert will be greatly missed, he leaves his two children Albert Jerome Watson of Parlin NJ, Glynnis D. Watson of Jamaica NY, his loving daughter-in-law Ameena Watson, grandchildren Nicolei, Nathaniel, Naiomi, and Nadine. His favorite Cousin Jimmie Ruth Monroe, Husband John & family of Ct., Sister in-law Naomi Thomas of Greensboro North Carolina, and host family and friends.
